Understanding your ARDI™ Scorecard and Authority Index

What your scorecard and Authority Index communicate, and how recognition, citation and recommendation differ.

Overview

Your scorecard shows how AI models treat your brand when buyers ask for recommendations in your category. It is built from real testing across AI models, not estimates.

Where to find it

Select ARDI™ Scorecard in the portal sidebar. Use the tabs to move between Overview, AI surfaces, Buyer questions and Competitors. Corporate users viewing an Authority Index scorecard may also see View full report.

Recognition, citation and recommendation

GOSH AI measures how AI moves from knowing a brand to recommending it. The UACR™ framework describes four stages:

  • Understanding: AI resolves your brand as a distinct entity.
  • Association: AI connects you to the right category and buyer intent.
  • Citation: AI has authoritative sources that validate you.
  • Recommendation: AI names you in the generated answer.

Why you can appear without being the top recommendation

A brand can be mentioned in an AI answer without being the one the AI recommends first. ARDI™ looks at how often AI surfaces you, how positively it describes you, and how prominently you appear. That is why your scorecard can show a mention on a surface while a competitor still leads the recommendation.

Competitors and history

The Competitors tab shows who AI recommends in your market alongside you. Progress shows how your measurements change from checkpoint to checkpoint. When only one measurement exists, the portal shows "First measurement" instead of a change.
